3,500.00 t / year of Si-fume.
The fume generated in the arc furnaces of B.S.I. LLC Jajce is piped to the filter plant.
The system consists of a cyclone for separating large particles, bag filters, fans, chimneys. The purified flue gases are discharged into the surrounding atmosphere via chimneys, and the remaining dust particles from cyclones and bag filters (microsilica) are stored in a silo by worm and pneumatic transport. From the silo, the filter dust is filled into bags via worm transport, which is stored until the final shipment to the customer.
The suction and filtration plant from three electric arc furnaces consists of three separate lines, each for one furnace, and they are designed in such a way for easier installation of the plant and reduction of energy consumption.
Each line consists of the following fume treatment zones:
- Primary fume cap
- Fume exhaust chimney, only in case of emergency
- Cap of secondary fumes
- Fume collector
- Cyclone
- Final filtering (bag filters)
- Fans
- Chimney for exhausting filtered fume (one for all three lines)
- Microsilica transport system
- Microsilica silos, finishing and bag filling system
The total air flow on the filters is 250,000.00 m3 / h with temperatures on cyclones 145 °C and 130 °C on bag filters.
Given the possibilities of utilizing high temperatures of the fume, B.S.I.LLC has implemented the project of heating within the company for space heating and hot water.
The total installed power of the filter plant is 1.5 MW with constant 24h operation.
